Introducing: Kimberly Pauga, Founder of Eco & Earth

Set out on a mission to bring products that are eco-friendly and that leave a positive impact on both people and the environment, Kimberly Pauga founded Eco & Earth.

Eco & Earth is an online shop based in Santa Barbara, California dedicated to bringing some of the world’s finest and sustainable products ranging all the way from fashion to personal care items.

I’m beyond excited to have had the chance to interview Kimberly and get behind the scenes of what Eco & Earth and their wonderful mission is all about. Check it out below!

What major factor led you to becoming a sustainable business?

For Kimberly, the major factor that led to building her business was her concern for the toxic ingredients that are found in products that people use everyday. She believes that certain ingredients can have detrimental effects on people and Mother Earth.

Why should people trust purchasing products from Eco & Earth?

Eco & Earth takes a very personal approach when it comes to selecting their products and business partners. The small business has built a connection with environmentally responsible business owners and always makes sure to communicate directly with them. The unique part of having a close connection with the manufacturers is that they are often small, boutique owners that believe in the same cause. They serve to provide natural, sustainable, eco-friendly, and cruelty-free products. Most of their products are made in small batches to ensure the highest quality standards, which you won’t find at big box companies.

What are some of the most important things you consider when choosing a product to sell?

The two most important factors in choosing the products Eco & Earth sells are:

  • The ingredients and materials used to create the product
  • The manufacturing and packaging process

The Funky Soap Shop and Maggie Anne are just two of many featured sustainable and eco-friendly brands at Eco & Earth. Visit 6 Non-toxic Hair, Skin, and Nail Products You Must Try to read my review on some of their products. They have a love for bringing high-quality products from trusted brands. Sharing products that are otherwise rare to find in the U.S is also a major priority of theirs.

What is the best and hardest part of running your business?

Kimberly believes that the best part of running her business is hearing that her customers love the featured products. She finds that the most difficult part is dealing with the shipping and customs from Europe. This CEO finds balance through her passion for bringing the best curated products to people, plus the environment.

What are Eco & Earth’s goals for the future?

Eco & Earth has goals and plans to broaden their product line to include deodorant, face masks, and more apparel items.

While they plan to expand their line of products, they will always be dedicated to items that are:

  • Made with natural + organic ingredients
  • Recycled or zero-waste packaging
  • Good for human and environmental health
  • Never tested on animals

How involved are you in the community?

The company currently supports two major organizations, The Organic Seed Alliance and Wild Oceans in an effort to help take care of conservation concerns on both land and sea. Kimberly always encourages people to be more conscious of single-use plastics and products that contain micro-beads that pollute our oceans. She also believes that everyone can make a positive impact if we all take small steps to reduce our use of harmful everyday products.
